UMC Central & North Central Districts' Lenten Breakfast Series: Plan now to attend the kick-off of the Lenten Breakfast Series on Saturday, February 20th at the University of Indianapolis' Schwitzer Student Center [1400 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis]. The event will begin at 7:00 a.m. and the Rev. David V.W. Owen, Executive Assistant to the Bishop Coyner, will be the key note speaker. Broadway Presents Artist Series - Journey from Lent to Easter: A Concert of Organ and Song: Sunday, February 21st, 1:00 p.m. Experience the liturgical seasons of Lent and Easter as Chris Schroeder presents classical organ music and accompanies congregational singing! Visual artists will present their works based on the concert music. Preceding the concert, join us at noon in the Community Room for a luncheon provided by the Chancel Choir.

UMW Day of Prayer & Self Denial: Saturday, February 27th from 9:30 a.m. to noon in Broadway's Parlor. This is time to learn what our world-wide family is doing in mission and their needs. This year, we will each send a card, note, or a letter to someone in the mission field, using the "Prayer Calendar." Broadway Welcomes Dr. Phil Amerson: Sunday, March 7th. Mark your calendars! Dr. Philip A. Amerson, President of Garret-Evangelical Seminary at Northwestern University and Professor of Sociology of Religion, will join us to preach and to allow us to celebrate his ministry here at Broadway back in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Dr. Amerson served as Senior Pastor of Broadway United Methodist Church from 1986 to 1992.
